ABOUT OUR COMPANY



NHRS Training Academy's principle marketing objective is to provide expert management and response services in the areas of environmental compliance, training and emergency response. NHRS mission is based in exceptional depth and experience of the company's principal officers and operations staff. The staff of NHRS includes a wide variety of highly trained, diversified and experienced spill response experts, all of whom have established themselves during some of the world's most notable environmental response operations. With over 75 years of combined experience in both compliance issues and hands-on operations, we have created a unique and diverse team. We understand both the science and the laws of spill control in US waterways and know how to make that understanding work for you, whether you are developing your compliance strategy through training and drills or responding to an actual event.
NHRS, a woman owned company, has provided trainings and drills since 2007. NHRS dedicated training facility can accommodate up to 40 students. NHRS offers a number of training services focused on First Response Preparedness and OPA '90 Compliance. Our courses feature hands-on training conducted in the classroom and field exercises, and are taught by experienced and accredited instructors. Classes can be modeled to suit your Response Plan and Standard Operating Procedures. Our training brings your personnel into contact with a wide variety of inputs for a valuable and quality training experience. NHRS also provides on-site training for plan holders.
NHRS has an alliance with T&T Marine Salvage, Inc. T&T Marine is an OSRO and Marine Salvage Company. The alliance allows NHRS personnel to support T&T in many of their projects including marine pollution, marine salvage response, and spill and salvage response drills. NHRS personnel have been involved in some of the most well-known incidents in history, including both salvage of and the response to the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, the response to the massive oil spills in the Persian Gulf, the response to the multiple oil spills that were caused by Hurricane Katrina, and most recently the response the Hurrican Ike, BP Deepwater Horizons Response, Tug ANNE MARIE Ice Response, Kalamazoo River Pipeline Spill, and TUG OMAHA River Response.
Key for plan holders is prevention of spills and being prepared when a spill does occur. NHRS provides turnkey preparedness strategy with trainings, drills, response strategies, first response plans and response equipment requirements. Investments in preparedness will have a positive impact on the environment and the bottom line.
